About Tangram Puzzles
The tangram is an ancient Chinese dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat polygons called "tans." The standard set includes two large right triangles, one medium right triangle, two small right triangles, one square, and one parallelogram. These seven pieces can be arranged to form hundreds of distinct shapes, from animals and people to letters and geometric figures.
Tangrams build spatial reasoning, geometry intuition, and problem-solving skills. They are widely used in classrooms for students ages 5 through 10. This version runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

What age is Tangram Puzzles suitable for?
The game is designed for children ages 5 through 8. Younger children may need help with rotation, while older children can solve puzzles independently. Adults enjoy tangrams too.
Is this safe for kids?
Yes. Every shape is generated from fixed geometric definitions. No AI is used. The game cannot display anything outside the curated set of tangram pieces and target silhouettes. There are no external data feeds, no user-generated content, and no chat features. Parents and teachers can let children play with complete confidence.
Can I print tangram pieces to cut out?
Yes. Click "Print Cutouts" to open a printable page with all 7 tangram pieces as colored outlines, ready to cut out and use on paper. Click "Print Puzzle" to print the target silhouette for offline solving.
Does the game work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The game supports both mouse drag and touch drag. Pieces are large enough for small fingers. On smaller screens the pieces area appears above the target instead of side by side.
