How to Use Math Bingo

  1. Choose your settings. Pick an operation (addition, subtraction, or mixed), a maximum number range, and how many bingo cards to generate. Lower max numbers suit younger children, while higher ranges challenge older kids.
  2. Generate cards. Click "Generate Cards" to create unique 5x5 bingo cards. Each cell contains a math problem like "3+7" or "15-8". The center square is always FREE.
  3. Play interactively. Click or tap cells to mark them as you call out answers. The tool detects bingo automatically when you complete five in a row, column, or diagonal.
  4. Print for the classroom. Use "Print Cards" to get clean printable cards. Use "Print Caller List" for a shuffled list of all answers with their matching problems, perfect for the teacher or parent calling the game.

Each card has unique problems, and every set includes a caller list with answers and their corresponding math problems. Share settings via URL so the whole class generates the same cards.

About Math Bingo

Math Bingo combines the excitement of a classic bingo game with arithmetic practice. Instead of listening for plain numbers, players must solve a math problem to find the matching cell on their card. This builds mental math fluency in a low-pressure, game-based setting.

The problems are generated using a seeded random number generator, so the same settings always produce the same cards. This makes it easy to share a link with a class or print identical sets. All computation runs in your browser with no data sent to any server.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play Math Bingo with a class?

Generate the number of cards you need (4 or 8), then print them. Each card has different problems but the answers come from the same pool. Print the caller list separately. The caller reads an answer (like "10"), and students look for a problem on their card that equals 10 (like "3+7"). First student to mark five in a row calls "Bingo!"

Are the bingo cards different from each other?

Yes. Every card in a set contains different math problems arranged in a different order. The answers overlap (so the caller list works for all cards), but no two cards are identical. This ensures a fair game where not everyone gets bingo at the same time.

Is this safe for kids?

Yes. All problems are generated with deterministic math running entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared. There are no external data feeds, no user-generated content, and no chat features. Parents and teachers can let children play with complete confidence.

Can I use this for subtraction practice?

Yes. Select "Subtraction" from the Operation dropdown. All problems will be subtraction, and answers are always zero or positive (no negative numbers). Choose "Mixed" to get a combination of addition and subtraction problems on the same card.
